Convenience Options

Many clients utilize our convenience options which save them time. 1. Follow-up by phone option Performing follow-up visits by telephone rather than face-to-face in our office. This is performed only at a client's request. In most cases such a request will be accepted by the doctor. Clients who request telephone follow-ups tell us this convenience saves them time in many ways: (a) eliminates travel time to and from the doctor's office; (b) eliminates cost and/or time required to find parking or use and wait for MUNI. 2. Prescription mailed to your pharmacy option We can mail your prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice, or hand-deliver your prescriptions to the pharmacy next to our office. This service is performed only at a client's request. Clients who request this service tell us that this is convenient for them as it saves them (a) the time required to pick up the prescription from our office and to deliver it themselves to their pharmacy; and (b) the time required waiting for the pharmacist to process and fill the prescription. Please note that we provide this service only upon a client's request and for the client's convenience. In the unusual situation where a pharmacy loses our mailed prescription, or claims not to have received our mailed prescription, we will try to correct the situation when we are told about it; however, we are not ourselves responsible for pharmacy errors. We suggest that clients who use this service be proactive in calling their pharmacy in a timely manner to make sure the pharmacy confirms they have received and filled our mailed prescription, and to contact our office in a timely manner if the pharmacy reports either losing it or not receiving it. If your pharmacy is not reliable in processing its mail and/or in filling prescriptions mailed to them, a fully reliable alternative is to have us hand-deliver your prescriptions to the CVS pharmacy next to our office on Van Ness Avenue. If you prefer, you can alternatively make an appointment with our staff to pick up your prescription in person at our office.
